Researchers at Linköping University, Vlatko Milic and Bahram Moshfegh, are investigating a method to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from buildings using zeolite-based adsorption integrated into ventilation systems. The system can capture CO2 from indoor air, which can later be released and potentially sold for industrial or agricultural use. Initial laboratory tests show significant potential, with one building capable of collecting 185 tons of CO2 annually. The project aims to advance toward a prototype for practical implementation.
