Dr. Lóránt Péteri, musicologist, university professor, and head of the Department of Musicology at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, participated in the Gustav Mahler Research Center’s international conference in Toblach from July 17–19, 2025.
Serving as a program committee member, session chair, and speaker, Dr. Péteri delivered a presentation titled Nostalgia and Humour – Musico-Cinematic Intertextuality in István Szabó’s Father, exploring the role of Gustav Mahler’s music in Szabó’s film Father.
The Gustav Mahler Research Center regularly organizes international events to connect scholars from around the world and foster dialogue on Mahler’s works.
