The Limerick School of Art and Design (LSAD) at the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) will host the 10th edition of Italian Design Day on March 24, 2026—the first time the event is held in Limerick.Titled “In Conversation with Ico Migliore,” the event forms part of a global initiative by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This year’s theme, “RE-DESIGN: Regenerating spaces, objects, ideas, relationships,” explores design as a transformative tool for social and environmental responsibility.World-renowned Italian architect and designer Ico Migliore will engage in dialogue with experts from LSAD and the University of Limerick, discussing regenerative design, AI in product design, bio-digital surfaces, and 3D printing in modern craftsmanship.Anthony Caleshu, Dean of LSAD and Director of Cultural Engagement at TUS, welcomed the event, highlighting Limerick’s growing reputation as a global creative hub. Honorary Consul Gabriella Caponi will moderate the session. The event is open to the public and free of charge, starting at 2pm in the LSAD Gallery, Clare Street Campus.
