
The Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE) held its summer professional forum titled “The Challenges of Practice” at the Kaposvár Campus, bringing together academic experts and regional industry leaders. The event was part of the Research Excellence and Priority Research Groups Program and aligned with MATE’s strategic vision extending to 2030.
Rector Dr. Csaba Gyuricza emphasized the university’s goal to build a transparent, talent-focused career model from secondary school to professorship, forming an innovative system across Hungary. Key regional companies and institutions also joined the event, reinforcing MATE’s mission to bridge top-tier research with practical solutions that support the local economy.
Highlights included insights from Dr. Zoltán Kovács on scientific achievements, Mayor Károly Szita on Kaposvár’s sustainability goals, and experts on precision medicine, food supply chains, and food industry digitalization. The event also marked a new partnership agreement between MATE and Táncsics Mihály Secondary School to support talent development and future scientific advancement.
