
Professor Michael Doherty from the School of Law and Criminology delivered his inaugural professorial lecture at Maynooth University, reflecting on over a decade of work in employment law, labour relations, and social dialogue.
The lecture examined how collective dialogue has shaped responses to major challenges in working life, including the financial crisis, the Covid-19 pandemic, and the growing influence of artificial intelligence. Professor Doherty highlighted the importance of sustained dialogue and collective approaches in building resilient and fair employment relations during periods of change.
