On October 28, 2025, the Medical University of Graz will once again become a hub of visionary thought and interdisciplinary dialogue as it hosts TEDxMedUniGraz 2025 under the theme “Tomorrow Starts Now – Perspectives To Shape The Future.” The event aims to explore how decisions and ideas formed today can help shape a more sustainable and livable world for tomorrow.
Featured speakers include Andrea Kurz, Rector of the Medical University of Graz and an internationally recognized anaesthesiologist and clinical researcher, and Caroline Schober, molecular biologist and former Vice Rector for Research & International Affairs. They will speak on pressing global challenges such as drug shortages, the pharmaceutical circular economy, and sustainable medical technologies.
The program spans critical future-focused topics including medical and biotech innovation, the role of AI, machine learning, predictive analytics in healthcare, and digital ethics—addressing media literacy, digital identity, and algorithm responsibility. Strategic tools like foresight and scenario planning will also be discussed.
TEDxMedUniGraz has become an established platform for science, innovation, and creativity, with over 40 talks and more than half a million views online. It continues to bring together diverse voices from medicine, science, and beyond, making complex ideas accessible and inspiring action.
