
Medical University of Vienna has appointed Danny Nedialkova as Professor of Biochemistry, strengthening its research in cellular protein regulation.Nedialkova joined the university on 1 April 2026 and is now leading a research group at the Max Perutz Labs, a joint initiative with the University of Vienna. She previously worked at the Technical University of Munich and the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry.Her research focuses on how cells produce and regulate proteins, particularly under changing biological conditions. Her team will study translation processes, protein quality control, and how disruptions in these systems contribute to disease.With internationally recognized expertise in RNA biology and proteostasis, her appointment is expected to enhance the university’s role in advanced biomedical research.
