Five second-year aeronautical engineering students at Milton University have successfully begun the rigorous 13-part theoretical ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot Licence) exam series, earning praise from faculty for their outstanding performance.
The students surpassed the required 70% threshold across four subject areas, achieving an impressive average score of 93.7% — all under the standards set by unified EU aviation authority requirements.
To earn the ATPL license, students must complete all exams within 18 months. At Milton University, candidates prepare through structured coursework and intensive self-study. Internal pre-exams form part of their semester grades before students proceed at their own pace to sit the official authority examinations.
Faculty noted that these external results offer the most objective measure of the training program’s quality.
“These achievements speak for themselves,” the university stated in a congratulatory message to the students and instructors.
