The University of Nyiregyhaza has expanded its sports complex with a newly developed modern fitness center. The investment, worth more than HUF 82 million, was realized as part of a major European Union funded development project supporting digital education and practice oriented training.
The upgraded facility includes advanced cardio and strength training machines, functional equipment, as well as diagnostic and rehabilitation tools such as a body composition analyzer and spine scanner. The development aims to enhance sports science education, research opportunities, and promote a health conscious university community.
University leaders highlighted that the new fitness center serves not only as infrastructure development but also as a community space contributing to student well being and long term institutional growth.
