
BUDAPEST – August 7, 2025 – The National University of Public Service (NKE) welcomed its newly admitted students at the 10th Freshman Camp, held from August 5 to 8 at the Esély Foundation camp in Tata. The event brought together nearly 500 first-year students for four days of orientation, community building, and tradition-rich activities.
University leaders, including Rector Gergely Deli, addressed the students, emphasizing the importance of public service and dedication to noble goals. Students of the Nemeskürty István Teacher Training Faculty also joined the camp for the first time this year.
Tata’s mayor, József Michl, highlighted the city’s ongoing support for the university and its students, while Petra Rybár, president of the University Student Government, encouraged active student involvement and leadership.
The program included faculty introductions, a freshman dance, and a variety of team-based games and challenges rooted in Ludovika traditions, such as the Ludovika Challenge and the Ludovika Wander Cup, awarded to the top-performing group.
