Neumann János University has announced a major technological advancement with the creation of a next-generation three-axis drive system, developed in partnership with Siemens Zrt. and Power Belt Kft. The system, unveiled on June 5, includes a digital twin module and is valued at around 15 million HUF.
The innovation marks a key milestone for the university’s GAMF Faculty of Engineering and IT, which emphasizes practical, industry-aligned education. Dean Dr. Lóránt Kovács highlighted that beyond financial support, close collaboration with companies ensures that students are part of real-world innovation and global industrial progress.
The partnership with Power Belt and Siemens has enabled students to engage in R&D projects, gain hands-on experience, and prepare for future careers in automation and mechatronics. The drive system allows simulation and real-time control of complex motion tasks, enhancing both virtual and physical programming capabilities.
This breakthrough directly supports the university’s upcoming electrical engineering program launching in September 2026.
