A new academic book titled “Sistemas de Informação para a Gestão (SIG)” has been released, focusing on the role of information systems in modern organizational management. The publication is part of the “Caminhos do Conhecimento” collection by Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon and aims to support students and professionals in understanding key concepts related to data management and database systems.The book was written by a lecturer from Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração de Lisboa and serves as a study and reference resource for courses related to information systems and management. It explains how data and information technologies support decision-making processes and strategic planning within organizations.The official launch took place on 2026, at the presidency services of the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon in Lisbon.
