Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) has announced the launch of two new English-taught degree programmes, both welcoming international students for the first time in the 2026/2027 academic year. The new programmes further strengthen ELTE’s commitment to providing high-quality, globally relevant academic opportunities across multiple disciplines.
Responding to growing international interest, the university is introducing degree programmes in Chemistry and Law in English.
Chemistry BSc
The new Chemistry BSc programme offers a comprehensive introduction to modern chemistry through a combination of theoretical coursework and extensive laboratory training. Students gain fundamental knowledge in analytical, inorganic, organic, and physical chemistry under the guidance of experienced researchers.
The programme prepares graduates for advanced studies or professional careers in the chemical, pharmaceutical, environmental, and materials science sectors.
Law, Politics and Economics MA
The interdisciplinary Law, Politics and Economics MA programme integrates international law, political science, and global economics to provide students with a broad and cohesive understanding of today’s complex policy challenges.
The programme is designed for students aiming for careers in international organisations, diplomacy, public administration, policy research, or related fields. By combining strong academic foundations with practical perspectives, the programme equips graduates with analytical skills applicable across diverse professional pathways.
