The National University of Public Service (NKE) will relaunch its successful Lorántffy Zsuzsanna Mentor Program in autumn 2025, aimed at providing weekly tutoring and study support to young people living in children’s homes in Transylvania.
In spring 2025, the program expanded to include institutions in Transcarpathia and Slovakia. Now, in addition to helping Transylvanian youth, NKE mentors also assist disadvantaged students in partner institutions and Hungarian-language schools beyond Hungary’s borders.
Sessions are held online on a weekly basis, coordinated with the children’s homes. The volunteer program is open to NKE students, lecturers, and staff members. Participants receive training: for lecturers in the form of a workshop, and for students as an elective course.
Applications can be submitted by September 1, 2025.
