
The University of West Bohemia in Pilsen hosted the French–Czech–Slovak Nuclear Winter School, giving students a European perspective on nuclear energy challenges. The opening on February featured the Rector of UWB, the French Ambassador, and the Chair of the State Office for Nuclear Safety.Students learned about nuclear plant systems beyond the reactor, with lectures from EDF and Framatome, and demonstrations by Doosan, ZAT, and ŠKODA JS. Team projects allowed participants to apply their knowledge practically, while discussions emphasized European cooperation in nuclear energy.Organizers highlight that the program prepares the next generation of nuclear specialists and strengthens international collaboration in low-emission energy.
