
Óbuda University hosted a delegation from Uzbekistan this week, marking the third official visit of representatives from Karshi State Technical University as the two institutions move forward with plans to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The delegation also included a representative from Shahrisabz State Pedagogical Institute.
The Uzbek delegation was led by Aloviddin Zayniddinov, Vice-Rector for Financial and Economic Affairs at Karshi State Technical University. On behalf of Óbuda University, the meeting was hosted by Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Zoltán Rajnai, joined by Prof. Dr. György Molnár and Prof. Dr. Anna Tünde Kovács.
Talks centered on strengthening long-term institutional cooperation, with a particular focus on joint research initiatives, co-authored scientific publications, and new forms of academic collaboration. Both sides reaffirmed their intention to develop joint research projects, building on the foundation established during previous exchanges.
International scientific cooperation was highlighted as a strategic priority. In this context, the Uzbek delegation was invited to participate in the ICCECIP conference, seen as a potential platform for expanding collaborative research efforts and enhancing international academic visibility.
The visit reinforces Óbuda University’s active engagement in Uzbek–Hungarian higher education relations and underscores the strategic importance of its partnership with Karshi State Technical University.
