
Obuda University welcomed a delegation from Uzbekistan on 5 February 2026, marking the third official visit of Karshi State Technical University (KSTU). The visit was organized in connection with the initiation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing process between the two institutions and included a representative from Shahrisabz State Pedagogical Institute.
The Uzbek delegation was led by Aloviddin Zayniddinov, Vice-Rector for Financial and Economic Affairs at KSTU. On behalf of Obuda University, the meeting was hosted by Prof. Dr. Zoltán Rajnai, Vice-Rector, with the participation of Prof. Dr. György Molnár and Prof. Dr. Anna Tünde Kovács.
The discussions focused on strengthening long-term institutional cooperation, particularly in the areas of joint research initiatives, co-authored scientific publications, and the development of new forms of educational collaboration. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to launching joint research projects, building on the mutual trust and cooperation established during previous visits.
International scientific collaboration was identified as a key priority. In this context, the Uzbek partners were invited to participate in the ICCECIP conference, which was presented as a significant platform for enhancing joint research activities and expanding international academic visibility.
The visit once again underscored Obuda University’s active role in Uzbek–Hungarian higher education cooperation and highlighted the strategic importance of its partnership with Karshi State Technical University.
