On a Journey of Discovery: Children Enchanted by Symphonic Music and Ballet
The performance series On the Path of Discovery began on February 11, 2026, featuring students from the Hungarian University of Dance in 36 performances across four venues as part of the long-running concert series of the Szent István Philharmonic.
This year, students performed choreography from Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker and a dance piece inspired by Chopin’s Raindrop Prelude. The program, which celebrated its 500th performance on February 17, combines symphonic music, ballet, and visual elements to provide experience-based music education for children aged 5–10. Over 15 years, the series has introduced nearly 150,000 children to classical music and dance.
