On June 23, 2025, Veszprémvölgy came alive as locals, families, and curious visitors gathered around a 1.5-kilometer-long table for the community event known as the Hosszúasztal Piknik. Alongside open-air conversations and shared meals, the event served as a vibrant platform for environmental awareness.
Held in conjunction with the Biodiversity Festival, the event featured Pannon University as a key participant. In collaboration with the Municipality of Veszprém and DEMO Association, the university showcased local ecological values while offering hands-on guidance on sustainable gardening, composting, and reducing food waste.
Representatives from Pannon University engaged with over a hundred visitors, reinforcing their commitment to environmental sustainability and social responsibility.
The festival offered not only entertainment but also reflection—on how conscious living, community bonding, and scientific knowledge can harmoniously meet outdoors, at a single long table.
