The Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave (IPCA) celebrated the successful conclusion of the sixth edition of Project 50+10, a multidisciplinary pedagogical innovation model based on Project-Based Learning (PBL).
This edition brought together around 1,000 students from 10 undergraduate programs who developed creative solutions to real-world challenges presented by 20 partner organizations. Final results were showcased through pitches, creative exhibitions, and interactive demonstrations, highlighting teamwork, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit.
A jury panel of leading companies and institutions evaluated the projects, while the international dimension of the program was strengthened through three Short International Blended Experiences (SIBEs) and one Blended Intensive Programme (BIP), in collaboration with the University of Burgos under the RUN-EU alliance. These opportunities allowed 40 students to develop future skills such as intercultural communication and teamwork in multicultural environments.
Promoted by IPCA’s Office for the Promotion of Pedagogical Innovation and Academic Success, Project 50+10 has established itself as a reference in higher education innovation, proving the value of learning by doing and generating impactful solutions for the community.
