
A meeting held at the British official residence in Lisbon brought together representatives from Portuguese and United Kingdom universities to discuss stronger academic cooperation. The event focused on expanding partnerships in transnational education, research and innovation, student mobility, and sustainable collaborations.The initiative included participants from several institutions and organizations, including Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon, Coventry University, Erasmus+ Agency Portugal, and the Council of Rectors of Portuguese Universities. A delegation of nine universities from the United Kingdom attended the two-day visit, exploring opportunities for deeper academic partnerships.The event was organized with support from the British Council Portugal and highlighted the importance of collaboration between Portugal and the United Kingdom in higher education. Government representatives also emphasized that such initiatives help strengthen international networks and create new opportunities for students and researchers.
