Last week, representatives of ESA Phi-Lab Poland, including Prof. Mariusz Głąbowski, Dr. Julia Gościańska-Łowińska, and Dr. Marek Kraft, attended the official opening of ESA Phi-Lab Ireland at the Irish Manufacturing Research (IMR) center in Mullingar.
The event highlighted cross-border collaboration in the European commercial space sector, with key speakers including Peter Burke TD, Dietmar Pilz (ESA), and Philip Thomas (ESA ScaleUp). A major outcome was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Polish and Irish Phi-Lab centers, marking the first such agreement in Europe.
The collaboration aims to strengthen the network of Phi-Lab centers, combining cutting-edge research with commercial applications in space technology and fostering long-term international partnerships.
