
On June 23, 2025, Hungarian President Tamás Sulyok visited the Szolnok Helicopter Base, where he also toured the National University of Public Service’s Faculty of Military Science and Officer Training (HHK) campus in Szolnok.
The President was welcomed by Colonel Mátyás Palik, Vice Dean for Aviation, who introduced the ongoing training programs. Cadets at the university not only receive foundational military education but also engage with next-generation technologies through ongoing research and development projects on campus.
During the visit, the President inspected advanced flight simulators, used for training future state aviation pilots and military air traffic controllers, providing students with realistic, high-standard technical environments.
Meanwhile, First Lady Zsuzsanna Nagy held a special meeting with female soldiers, including officer cadets, and toured a newly equipped human performance diagnostics laboratory, funded through a research grant.
The visit highlights Hungary’s ongoing investment in modern defense education and technological innovation for future military professionals.
