After six months of renovation, a historic humanities reading room has reopened, offering students and researchers a modern, accessible, and technologically enhanced study environment. The upgrade removed architectural barriers, introduced adjustable workstations, improved lighting, climate control, and upgraded electrical and IT systems.
The refurbishment also added new individual and group study areas, as well as a multimedia conference panel supporting academic collaboration and bibliometric services. The project combined heritage preservation with contemporary functionality, significantly improving study conditions while respecting the building’s historical character.
The renewed facility continues a long academic tradition dating back to the late 19th century and reflects ongoing investment in student focused learning spaces and inclusive university infrastructure.
