South East Technological University welcomed pharmacists, academics, researchers, and allied healthcare professionals to its second annual Pharmacy Education and Networking Event at the Cork Road Campus in Waterford. The event, titled Selfcare, Wellness and Resilience in Pharmacy, focused on leadership, workplace culture, and individual practices to support sustainable and fulfilling careers in pharmacy.Prof. Veronica Campbell, President of SETU, and Dr Claire Lennon, Head of the Department of Pharmacy, highlighted the importance of collaboration, professional wellbeing, and the Master of Pharmacy programme. A panel discussion chaired by Sarah Brown, Lecturer in Pharmacy, featured experts sharing strategies to address workplace pressures, reduce burnout, and foster supportive environments for pharmacists and students.The event also introduced the Department of Pharmacy’s strategic plan, reinforcing SETU’s commitment to innovative, practice-focused education and the sustainability of the pharmacy profession in Ireland.
