The University of Miskolc hosted its seventh Chemical Industry Career Orientation Day (VEPONA) on May 22, welcoming nearly 600 students from 30 local schools to explore opportunities in chemistry and chemical engineering. The event, supported by major industry partners like MOL Petrolkémia, BorsodChem, and KISS Group, introduced participants to the dynamic world of the chemical sector through hands-on demonstrations, dual training programs, and interactive experiments.
The aim was to encourage young people to pursue science careers and showcase the innovative, sustainable future of the chemical industry. University leaders, industry professionals, and educators all highlighted the importance of strong partnerships between companies and educational institutions to ensure a new generation of highly skilled professionals.
