At the 51st international agrosalon Země Živitelka, South Bohemian University (Jihočeská univerzita) showcased selected delicacies and beverages developed by the Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Waters and the Faculty of Agriculture and Technology. Hundreds of visitors sampled items including fish loaf, soups, and university-brewed beer.
University leadership also strengthened partnerships, signing a memorandum with the Ministry of Agriculture. The exhibition drew attention from key figures, including the Minister of the Interior, the Mayor of České Budějovice, and Prime Minister Petr Fiala, who visited the SMART FARMING exposition alongside researchers from the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague and Mendel University in Brno.
The highlight for South Bohemian University was the award presented by the Minister of Agriculture to young scientist Lenka Kajgrová, a hydrobiologist and research associate at the Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Waters. Her achievements were featured in media coverage by Český rozhlas Radiožurnál and Jihočeská televize.
The university’s participation at Země Živitelka 2025 emphasized innovation, research excellence, and collaboration with public institutions, highlighting the contributions of both students and young researchers.
