Budapest | April 1 2026 A student from Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) has drawn attention to budget-friendly breakfast options available at SPAR supermarkets across Budapest.
According to the student, SPAR offers a selection of around six different bakery-style items each morning at low prices, making it an attractive option for students looking to save money on breakfast. However, due to high demand, these items tend to sell out quickly, and customers are advised to visit early in the morning to take advantage of the offer.
The student also noted that while the baked goods may not always be freshly made estimating they could be several hours old but they can still be enjoyable when reheated. “If you put them in the microwave, they’re perfectly fine and not bad at all,” the student suggested.
The report highlights how such affordable options can serve as a practical alternative for those seeking a quick and inexpensive breakfast instead of spending more at cafés or restaurants.
