Recognized for its commitment to sustainability, strong corporate relations, educational quality, and a diverse international community, the university’s continued presence on this prestigious list reflects its growing global reputation.
This year’s QS ranking is the most competitive yet, featuring over 1,500 universities from 106 countries — a record-breaking scope. The evaluation included nearly 20 million academic publications and votes from 1.5 million academics and 500,000 employers. In this intensified landscape, Széchenyi István University stood out, particularly in the newly introduced metric measuring international diversity, where it excelled with students from 79 different countries.
Since first entering the QS rankings in 2021, the university has consistently advanced its global partnerships, research output, and educational offerings. The rise in visiting professors and international collaborations further highlights its academic momentum.
Dr. Eszter Lukács, Vice President for International and Strategic Relations, commented:
“This achievement validates the strength of our programs, research, and collaboration with economic and social partners. It is a recognition of our collective commitment and also a confirmation that we are delivering real value to our students and the wider region.”
