University of Evora professor José Saragoça was invited as a guest of honor at an international congress held in Fes, Morocco, highlighting the institution’s growing global academic presence.The congress, focused on the role of women in education and the challenges of empowerment and change, took place at the École Normale Supérieure of Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University. During the event, Professor Saragoça also led workshops for teachers and students on school evaluation methods and future-oriented educational planning.His participation is part of the Mare Nostrum mobility project under the Erasmus Plus Programme, which promotes academic exchange between Portugal and Morocco. The initiative supports collaboration among institutions such as the University of Évora, University of Algarve, Nova University Lisbon, and University of Porto.At the University of Évora, Professor Saragoça serves as Deputy Director of the School of Social Sciences and focuses his research on education systems, school evaluation, inclusion, and institutional cooperation.This international engagement reflects the university’s commitment to strengthening global partnerships and advancing innovation in education through cross-border collaboration.
