
At the end of August, the University of Graz becomes the center of international education research as around 2,500 experts gather for the EARLI Congress. The event, organized by the European Association for Research in Learning and Instruction, focuses on innovative approaches and the scientific foundations of teaching and learning in the 21st century.Participants from across the globe, including Argentina, Japan, and New Zealand, are attending symposia, paper presentations, and keynote lectures. Vice Rector Joachim Reidl praised the organizers, highlighting the importance of Graz as an open platform for global knowledge exchange.The program also emphasizes new learning tools, neuroscientific research, and the role of digital education. Researchers like Stephan Vogel and Roland Grabner present studies on brain activity in learning and the development of talents. The conference also features the Future Education Awards, recognizing outstanding early career scientists in transdisciplinary teaching and learning research.
