
The University of Lisbon has opened applications for the M50 course Understanding the World in the 21st Century, aimed at learners aged 50 and above. Applications will be accepted from February 18 to February 22 for the second semester of the 2025–2026 academic year.
The course, themed New Frontiers of Knowledge Challenges for Science and Technology, brings together interdisciplinary perspectives from science, technology, and society. Led by faculty and researchers from multiple ULisboa schools, it explores topics such as health, environment, sustainability, innovation, data driven methodologies, and public participation in knowledge creation.
Designed to promote lifelong learning, the M50 Program supports a comprehensive understanding of contemporary global challenges and encourages informed and active engagement with complex societal issues.
