Athletes connected to the University of Nyiregyhaza were among those recognized at the Nyiregyhaza City Sports Gala, where top local athletes, coaches, and organizations were awarded for their 2025 achievements.Among the honorees were former students Helebrandt Mate and Ifj Ujvary Zoltan for their outstanding international performances, while Szikszai Robert was recognized among leading local sports figures. In addition, the university’s partner institution, Eotvos Jozsef Practice Primary School and Secondary School, received an award in the recreational sports category.The event highlighted the strong role of the university in supporting athletic excellence and contributing to the city’s vibrant sports community.
