Sopron, July 31, 2025 — The International Theatre Workshop came to a close with a series of evocative performances inspired by Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, presented in six different locations within the botanical garden of Sopron University. The pieces were created by diverse, international student groups who collaborated throughout the workshop.
The final performance, directed by SZFE fifth-year student Kristóf Molnár, brought the event to a memorable conclusion. The cast included Molnár Fruzsina and Sebestyén Bence (SZFE), Reiner Lilla and Váradi Miklós (MATE), along with international participants Jacqueline Stan and Dani Simion (Romania), Ada Gurdiel and Juan Diego Cáceres (Spain), Egshiglen Naranbaatar, Bathbayar Enkhbayar, and Khashidavaa Munkhbat (Mongolia).
Organized by SZFE with the involvement of MATE University and theatre institutions from Romania, Peru, Spain, Bulgaria, and Mongolia, the workshop offered a platform for young actors and directors to explore cross-cultural collaboration under the guidance of expert instructors.
