Starting October 1, 2025, the University of Warsaw will implement the “Anti Dropout Program – Stay at UW” to address student attrition through comprehensive monitoring and preventive measures. Supported by funding from the European Funds for Social Development 2021–2027, the initiative aims to develop a systemic approach to dropout prevention.
The project includes data analysis, predictive modeling, and the creation of corrective actions, along with programmatic support for 250 academic staff members. It will enhance cooperation across departments, improve the presentation of academic offerings with new IT tools, and train 40 administrative staff.
Additional plans involve strengthening student engagement in academic life and expanding psychological support, targeting 1,700 students—especially in the humanities—and 144 academic staff members who work with students in mental health crisis. The program will also boost the capacity of the University’s Psychological Support Center.
The Anti Dropout Program will run until March 31, 2029, coordinated by the University’s Office of Educational Innovation.
