The University of West Bohemia in Pilsen (UWB) has sold the former Škoda Works headquarters in central Pilsen for 190 million CZK. LABEST Consulting, s.r.o. acquired the property and plans to convert it into student housing, with renovations expected to begin later this year.
The building, owned by UWB since 2010, had been empty in recent years while incurring nearly 2 million CZK annually in operating costs. The university intends to reinvest the proceeds from the sale into strategic development projects.
