
The Vrije Universiteit Brussel has launched the Women Shaping Science campaign to highlight the impact of female scientists on research society and policy. Timed with the International Day of Women and Girls in Science and ahead of International Womens Day, the initiative features portraits and interviews published in the university science magazine VUB Tomorrow.
According to VUB rector Jan Danckaert, women researchers at the university are transforming scientific knowledge into meaningful societal change through innovation medical research and social insight. The campaign also reflects on the progress and remaining challenges for gender equality in academia while showcasing excellence in research across disciplines.
