Vysoké učení technické v Brně (VUT) and Vodafone launched 5G-SHARE, the largest private 5G network in the Czech Republic dedicated to scientific research. Operating at FEKT VUT, it provides ultra-low latency, secure 5G testing for edge computing, IoT, autonomous systems, and quantum technologies.Funded largely by the EU, 5G-SHARE fosters university collaboration across Europe and supports research in cybersecurity, optical networks, and post-quantum encryption. Partners include Atlantic Technological University (Ireland), POLITEHNICA University Bucharest, and Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (Romania).
