From August 11 to 15, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication at Vysoké učení technické v Brně (VUT) organized its first Plant Wellbeing summer school for girls aged 12–17. The program combined practical education, modern technology, and relaxation activities to inspire participants and introduce them to trends in electronics and 3D printing.
Over five days, attendees designed and 3D-printed their own plant pots, built electronic circuits with sensors, and explored programming using Arduino platforms. Activities included visits to Honeywell’s Brno research center and CEITEC, as well as mindfulness sessions like yoga. The school emphasized creativity, hands-on learning, and teamwork, providing participants with functional projects and new skills.
The program was led by VUT faculty members and industry partners, including EG.D (E.ON) and Honeywell, creating an engaging educational experience that combined science, technology, and personal development.
