Until the end of September, visitors can experience the unique blend of art and nature at the Sculptures Among Flowers exhibition in the Botanical Garden of Masaryk University. This marks the eighth year of collaboration between the Faculty of Fine Arts at Vysoké učení technické v Brně (VUT) and the Faculty of Science at Masaryk University.
The sculptures, created under the guidance of Michal Gabriel and Tomáš Medek, are made from diverse materials such as plaster, artificial stone, concrete, textiles, polyester resin, and even 3D-printed components. Students drew inspiration from nature, animals, and abstract forms, producing artworks that offer intriguing contrasts with the surrounding flora.
The exhibition highlights the intersection of creativity and technology, showcasing students’ experimentation with both traditional and cutting-edge artistic methods, making it freely accessible to the public.
