Warsaw University of Technology successfully hosted the Erasmus Blended Intensive Programme BIP2026, bringing together students and academics from across Europe for an intensive learning experience focused on sustainable energy and transport systems.The two week programme, held from March 16 to 28, 2026, gathered around 60 participants from partner institutions including the University of Artois in France, the University of Craiova in Romania, and Kaunas University of Technology in Lithuania. Participants worked in international teams on projects related to energy storage, renewable energy, modern power systems, and sustainable transport.The programme combined lectures, laboratory sessions, and hands on project work, with a strong emphasis on practical skills and cross cultural collaboration. Organizers highlighted that such initiatives allow both students and academic staff to exchange knowledge and strengthen cooperation across European higher education institutions.Students reported significant benefits from the experience, including improved technical knowledge, teamwork skills, and exposure to multicultural environments. The programme also offered insight into advanced study topics and future academic pathways, particularly in fields such as electromobility and electrical engineering.Blended Intensive Programmes under Erasmus Plus integrate short term physical mobility with online collaboration, enabling participants to engage in flexible and innovative learning formats. The BIP2026 edition was also held under the honorary patronage of the Mayor of Warsaw, reflecting its importance in promoting international academic cooperation.
