At Széchenyi István University, 12 student teams took center stage at the Hungarian Startup University Program (HSUP) Demo Day, proving just how far ideas can go when innovation meets opportunity. This wasn’t just about grades — it was about turning classroom creativity into market-ready businesses.
The winning idea? A smart AI-driven diabetes app designed by Dóczi Eszter, combining personal health experience with high-tech data processing to help patients manage their condition more easily and accurately. Yes — she’s already running a prototype on her phone.
Other ideas included an AI-based insurance system and a logistics optimizer for local stores — and these aren’t just school projects. They’re potential ventures that could enter national finals and catch investor attention.
Plus, Széchenyi backs students with more than applause: through FIEK, students get mentorship, business bootcamps, idea contests, and access to real industry networks — everything needed to jump from “project” to “startup.
