BAJA – August 6, 2025 – Eötvös József College has once again demonstrated its strong commitment to international higher education cooperation. During the 2024/2025 academic year, a total of 46 staff members participated in Erasmus+ teaching and training mobility programs.
Twenty faculty members took part in international teaching assignments, delivering lectures, seminars, and methodological workshops. Upon returning, participants reported gaining new perspectives that enriched their teaching practices. Dr. Nóra Huszár-Samu, Dr. Luca Katzemajer-Pump, and Éva Ladányi shared how their experience at the University of Osijek led to the modernization of their teaching materials. Dr. Mária Patocskai highlighted her involvement in collaborative research at Selye János University, which will result in a joint international publication. Meanwhile, Dr. Zoltán Kiss and Dr. Péter Póla strengthened institutional ties and laid the groundwork for joint programs during their teaching mobility in Transcarpathia.
In addition to teaching, 26 training mobilities were carried out by administrative and technical staff, who learned from the operational practices of partner institutions. Participants gained valuable insights at Selye János University, Partium Christian University in Oradea, and Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek. The exchange of best practices and the development of professional networks were emphasized as key takeaways.
The increasingly popular “Erasmus Staff Week” program also saw repeated participation. Anita Nagy-Czirok and Anikó Gyurkity attended the international training week at the University of Osijek for the second time, joining more than 40 participants from nine countries to discuss internationalization efforts and intercultural communication.
According to the International Relations Office, the direct and indirect impacts of these mobilities are visible across multiple areas of the college. Returning staff share their knowledge in internal workshops, helping initiate new partnerships and driving innovation in teaching and administrative processes.
Eötvös József College aims to further increase the number of mobilities in both teaching and training, recognizing their role in strengthening the institution’s professional reputation and operational development.
