A doctoral researcher has received the 2025 Young Mathematicians Award from the Polish Mathematical Society for a series of studies in algebraic geometry. The work focuses on complex mathematical structures that combine geometry with algebraic methods to solve advanced equations. The awarded research includes a significant contribution to solving a long-standing problem related to the generic subrank of tensors, a mathematical concept used to describe objects whose properties remain unchanged under different coordinate systems. The solution addresses a problem that had remained open since the 1980s.The award recognizes outstanding achievements by young mathematicians and will be formally presented during the Chilean-Polish Mathematical Meeting scheduled to take place in Wrocław in September 2026.
