Aalborg University and a committee under the Danish Ministry of Culture have released a list of 100 women to address the historic underrepresentation of women in public statues. The report, Flere kvinder i kunsten i det offentlige rum, also includes a database of nearly 3,000 biographies for use by municipalities, planners, and the public. The initiative aims to inspire a more balanced representation of Denmark’s national history in public spaces.Top figures include Thyra Danebod, Matilde Bajer, Bodil Nyboe Andersen, and living figures like Helle Thorning-Schmidt, Pia Kjærsgaard, Anja Andersen, and Anne Linnet. Public input helped shape the list, reflecting broad societal engagement.
