Charles University and the Czech Centres are set to strengthen their cooperation to promote the Czech Republic abroad. Vice-Rector Věra Jourová and Czech Centres Director General Jitka Pánek Jurková met in Prague to discuss future projects, including events marking Václav Havel’s 90th birthday, initiatives in artificial intelligence, and the fight against disinformation.
With its global cultural network, the Czech Centres will combine diplomatic experience with Charles University’s academic expertise in science and education. Plans include extending their memorandum of cooperation, further enhancing science diplomacy and expanding Czech language teaching abroad, a role in which Charles University is already active.
