The Danmarks Tekniske Universitet (DTU) has received approval from Denmark’s Ministry of Higher Education and Science to offer all 32 master’s programmes under the new 1+2 industry candidate model starting September 2026.The scheme allows students to study full-time in the first year and work at least 25 hours per week in a company during the final two years. DTU says the initiative strengthens ties between universities and industry and helps address Denmark’s projected shortage of engineers and IT graduates by 2030.
