
The Institute of Forestry Science of the University of Sopron is strengthening long-term Hungarian–Algerian cooperation in forestry research focused on climate change adaptation.
A joint online scientific conference held, brought together researchers from both countries to share knowledge on drought resilience, forest health, and adaptive forest management. Algerian experts presented experiences in combating desertification and improving ecosystem resilience.
The event reinforced strategic collaboration with the Institut National de la Recherche Forestière, supporting future joint research, plant material exchange, and experimental forestry projects aimed at developing climate-resilient forests.
