
Karlstad University has released a new issue of its Research Magazine centered on economic, social, and environmental sustainability. Published on the UN’s World Day of Social Justice, the latest edition explores the theme of equality and justice.The issue highlights research on how inequalities arise and what can be done to address them, including the role of law as a tool for promoting social justice. It also examines children’s dental health as an equality issue and features stories about two female professors in the male-dominated field of computer science.Additional articles explore Nordic collaborations aimed at making schools more equitable in the face of digitalization, how practical teacher training prepares educators for multicultural environments, and a Nordic network promoting diversity in physics. Gender studies scholars Tara Mehrabi and Annika Rudman also contribute a column reflecting on the significance of the World Day of Social Justice.The Research Magazine publishes new themed issues several times each semester, with previous topics including future hope, energy, and time.
