The Polytechnic Institute of Braganca (IPB) welcomes over 3500 new students for the 2025/26 academic year, maintaining a total enrollment of around 10,000 students. In the first phase of the National Higher Education Access Competition (CNAES), IPB placed 762 new students, ranking as the fifth polytechnic with the highest number of placements, behind only institutions in Porto, Lisbon, Coimbra, and Leiria.
Courses in health (Nursing and Physiotherapy), teacher education (Basic Education), and legal and business studies (Solicitorship and Marketing) were among the most in-demand, filling all available spots in the first phase. International students remain highly attracted to IPB, with four applicants for each available spot.
The Polytechnic Institute of Braganca offers financial support through scholarships, including the +Superior program, social action grants, and IPB-specific scholarships, making higher education accessible and inclusive. New students can complete online enrollment from August 25 to 28, with classes starting September 15. Integration Week from September 8 to 12 will provide orientation and community-building activities.
